Looking for the Light is a large project on the AIDS epidemic which we have just launched by  the magazine Journal E in conjunction with The New York Times on the Web.   Looking for the Light"  consists of five stories about different facets of the AIDS epidemic.  The stories are all the  work of photographer Scott Thode, who has been documenting the AIDS crisis for the last fifteen years. The  presentation uses the latest streaming media techniques to enhance the presentation and highlight the personal narratives of each story.  Also included on the site are a time line of AIDS-related events, links to AIDS resources on the web and a "Wall of Names" on which visitors can post comments about some of the individuals portrayed on the site.  Viewers are also invited to respond to the stories through the extensive forums which are interwoven into the site.
